Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 2026-05-27

Welcome to CIWZ Academy. These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern access to and use of the Academy platform available at https://www.certificatoiwz.org/academy/index.php, including registration, authentication, courses/tests, results display, wallet management, payment of any certificate issuance fees and (where available) certificate issuance/verification. The platform is designed to assess competence in standards, auditing and management system topics, aligned with widely recognized principles used in assessment and certification contexts, such as integrity, impartiality, competence, confidentiality and evidence-based/risk-based approaches.

Internal role/group responsible for validating results prior to certificate issuance, where applicable.
“Certificate”
A PDF document (where available) issued under these rules, typically with a unique identifier and QR/code for verification.
“Verification”

1. Scope and nature of the service

1.1 The Academy provides online courses and tests aimed at assessing competence on standards and reference schemes. 1.2 Tests are structured assessment tools. They do not replace in-person training, professional practice, or formal requirements mandated by regulations or specific schemes. 1.3 Passing a test may allow (where applicable) requesting and obtaining a Certificate under the rules described herein.

2. Registration, account and security

2.1 Registration with accurate, complete and up-to-date data is required to take tests and access restricted features. 2.2 The User is responsible for safeguarding credentials and all activity performed through the account. In case of suspected compromise, the User must reset credentials and/or contact support. 2.3 The platform may adopt additional security measures (e.g., two-factor authentication - 2FA), rate limiting, anti-spam and logging to prevent abuse.

3. Test rules and assessment integrity

3.1 Tests may include integrity mechanisms such as timers, question/answer randomization, attempt tracking and anti-abuse controls. 3.2 Any conduct aimed at compromising fairness or integrity (e.g., system manipulation, multiple accounts to bypass controls, scraping, workflow tampering) is prohibited. 3.3 In case of violations or reasonable suspicion, the Academy may invalidate attempts, suspend accounts and/or request additional checks.

4. Results, thresholds and certification

4.1 Results are calculated based on each course/test rules (e.g., minimum passing threshold). 4.2 Where applicable, certificate issuance is not automatic: after completion, results may be reviewed and validated by the Faculty committee. 4.3 The Certificate (where available) reflects the platform test outcome under these rules and may include an identifier and QR/code for verification.

5. Wallet, payments and payment providers

5.1 The Wallet allows Users to manage platform credit and cover applicable fees (e.g., certificate issuance fees). 5.2 Wallet top-ups may be performed via third-party payment providers, including (by way of example) PayPal and Stripe. Payment flows are handled by those providers under their terms, notices and security controls. 5.3 The Academy does not store full card data: sensitive payment data is processed by the payment providers. Users should review provider-specific conditions (fees, limits, restrictions and dispute procedures).

6. Fees, certificate issuance and possible waivers

6.1 Each course/test clearly indicates whether a certificate issuance fee applies. This fee (if any) is distinct from the public course/test information and from the assessment process itself. 6.2 In specific cases, the Academy may apply fee waivers or special conditions under internal criteria (e.g., initiatives, partnerships). Waivers are not vested rights and may be limited by time or volume.

7. Refunds and cancellations

7.1 Wallet top-ups and payments via third-party providers may be subject to provider policies and platform rules. 7.2 As a general principle, once a fee has been used for already delivered/consumed services (e.g., certificate issuance and availability), refunds may not be available. Exceptional cases (e.g., documented technical issues) may be evaluated by the Academy. 7.3 Support/refund requests must include sufficient information for investigation (account, course/test, date, receipts/transaction IDs, issue description).

8. Intellectual property and content use

8.1 Questions, databases, texts, layout, logos and platform content are protected by intellectual property rights and/or licenses. 8.2 Unauthorized reproduction, distribution or publication of content (including questions/answers) is prohibited unless explicitly authorized in writing.

9. Limitation of liability

9.1 The platform is provided “as is”. While reasonable measures are taken to ensure availability and integrity, uninterrupted service cannot be guaranteed. 9.2 The Academy is not responsible for outages attributable to third parties (e.g., payment providers, email providers, connectivity, user devices). 9.3 A Certificate (where available) reflects a test outcome under platform rules and does not automatically equate to a regulated professional qualification unless explicitly stated.

10. Privacy and data processing

10.1 Personal data processing is governed by the Privacy Policy available here: https://www.certificatoiwz.org/academy/privacy.php. 10.2 The User acknowledges that data necessary to deliver the service (account data, test results, security logs and, where applicable, certificate data) may be processed for operational, security and compliance purposes.

11. Changes to these Terms

11.1 The Academy may update these Terms to reflect legal, service improvement or operational changes. The last updated date is shown at the top of this page. 11.2 Continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Support and documentation

12.1 For operational details (registration, wallet, tests, validation and certificates), see the user guide: https://certificatoiwz.org/academy/user_guide.html. 12.2 For technical issues or assistance, use the channels provided within the platform (where available) or contact the relevant organization.

Note: these Terms are written in an audit-friendly, integrity/confidentiality-oriented format consistent with assessment best practices. If you need specific clauses (e.g., complaints channel, accessibility statement, cookie policy), we can extend the document.
