The IPDRR Training (Disaster Risk Reduction & Emergency Management) – Exam is designed for professionals seeking advanced skills in disaster risk reduction and emergency management following the IPDRR approach: Identify, Protect, Detect, Respond, Recover. The course integrates integrated planning, all-hazards analysis of risks and vulnerabilities, risk assessment, and scenario development. It covers prevention and mitigation measures, preparedness through operational procedures, roles, communications, and resources, as well as the implementation of monitoring and early warning systems. Operational emergency management includes command, coordination, evacuations, and first response. Additionally, focus is given to business continuity and resilience with business continuity and disaster recovery plans, followed by recovery and post-event restoration. Practical exercises, ongoing training, and lessons learned are included, with alignment to occupational safety legislation (Italian Legislative Decree 81/2008) and Civil Protection Code (Legislative Decree 1/2018). The final exam assesses practical application of the Sendai Framework principles. The course lasts 60 minutes with a pass mark of 70%.
