Learning Objectives
- Provide theoretical and practical knowledge for safe MEWP use
- Present relevant regulations and legal requirements
- Train correct operation and maintenance of platforms
The course "Mobile Elevating Work Platforms (MEWP/PLE) – Operator Qualification (Annex III)" is designed to provide operators with the necessary knowledge for the safe and efficient use of mobile elevating work platforms, in compliance with Legislative Decree 81/2008 and the Italian State-Regions Agreement of April 17, 2025. The training path includes a theory-technical module covering relevant regulations, characteristics of various types of MEWPs, inspection and maintenance procedures, and specific risks associated with their use. The practical module allows participants to gain hands-on experience with controls, movement operations, and emergency procedures on different types of platforms including scissor lifts, boom lifts, vertical mast lifts, and truck-mounted platforms. Key safety aspects such as the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), clearances from power lines, and communication with spotters are emphasized throughout the course. Upon successful completion, operators are qualified to safely operate MEWPs on construction sites and industrial plants, significantly minimizing the risk of accidents related to these machines.
The pathway is designed for managers, executives, function owners, auditors and professionals. Lessons use validated minimum study time and a contextual tutor; assessments use server-side random selection of questions and answers, session-continuity controls, camera and local audio-activity monitoring during protected tests.
Traceability and reliability: integrity events are logged for authorized review; automated signals do not determine the result on their own.
Purpose, references, delivery method, commercial terms and certificate value, presented clearly and transparently.
